ANNIVERSARY

On Saturday 15 April we
th
celebrated the 10 anniversary of
th
the establishment of the Saturday
Coffee Shop, and the foundation of
the Briantspuddle Community
Group and the monthly “Let’s
Lunch” meals which followed on.
A large crowd filled the Jubilee
Room, the hall lobby and overflowed into the outside space to enjoy the coffee,
tea and cakes. A celebration cake was cut and passed out to be eagerly eaten
by all present.
Congratulations and thanks were offered in abundance from the many regular
customers, along with bouquets of flowers and chocolates as tokens of thanks to
the members of the Community Group. It was made very clear that the work of
the Community Group to develop an open and welcoming place for the
residents of the village, and an increasing number of visitors from outside, is
effective and highly valued. A really big thank you to all the ladies that help to
run the Community Group.
