I was the last to be dropped off as I

was to run the eastern leg through
Abbotsbury. The bus had edged its
way to a point where my family and
friends were waiting for me to
emerge in my plastic cape and into
the driving rain. This was a truly
wonderful moment as it erupted in
applause and cheering. Miranda was
carrying a banner with We are so
proud of Bob Holman written on it.
Special friends Paula, Irvine and
young Kieran were there along with
my friend and doctor Tim Harley who might have been there to check me over
after my run!
There were also many friends from my swimming activities and my local rambling
group and they were all there for me!
