by the safety boat. There
were cheers and whoops
for her as she emerged
from the sea. That just
about sums up the spirit of
o p e n w a t e r s e a
swimmers. They are
always supportive of the
efforts of others.
The swim had at times
been a challenging one.
Another unforgettable
experience in the bank as
they say. Changed into my shorts and t-shirt, I walked along the beach to find
Diana as ever patiently waiting for me. She never complains even though I was
an hour later than I thought I might be. I keep saying that every swim is different
and of course this was no exception.
One of these days I will say “I’m getting too old for this lark” but not just yet!
