Missing Fingerposts
In late 2023 the fingerpost at the junction of the B3390 and Marl Pitt went missing.
The police were informed, and an insurance claim was made which has been
approved. A replacement has been commissioned and in the fullness of time the
new fingerpost will be installed.

SID (Speed Indication Device)

The SID has now been installed on the North and South of the B3390 in Affpuddle.
It is hoped that this investment will reduce speeds through the bends of Affpuddle
making this stretch of road safer for drivers and the local community.

S133/137 Grants

The Parish Council received two grant applications for the financial year 2023/24
from Affpuddle Parochial Church Council (PCC) and Briantspuddle Village Hall
(BVHC), both for £250.

Affpuddle PCC’s application is to service lawn mowers used to maintain the
churchyard at St Laurence’s and BVHC’s application is to fund the design and
printing of Open Gardens maps/ tickets. Open Gardens is an event that aims to
