club. When it started it was at the Bere Regis old school which had a swimming
pool on the site. Now it is in Wareham at the Purbeck Sports Centre every
Saturday 5.15-7.30. There are different sessions for the different ages and abilities.
We do all sorts of things - diving,
synchronised swimming, water polo,
galas with other clubs. At the moment
we are oversubscribed.
I also help with the family service on the
second Sunday every month at St John
the Baptist, Bere Regis. These services are
very welcoming for all ages. We make
them really relaxed and pack lots of fun
into both the hour before and the
service.

Our older children like to show us their
talents by performing with puppets to

well-known songs. We like to do lots of
craft activities with our younger
members including things like painting,
creating, colouring and sometimes it
even involves food!
We also get our parents and other
adults involved with dramatizing bible
stories with lots of creative costumes
and props. The aim of this service is to
reach people that may not normally
come to church, so we like to put on
different services. In May our service
was outside in the scout hut. We were looking at Rogation and so planted cress
and sunflower seeds and we blessed all our beautiful surroundings. Then in June
we had our annual pet service, where the church was filled with both children
and animals. We mostly had dogs this year but we have previously had rabbits,
lizards and even stick insects. We always welcome new faces, so come along
and join in the fun!
