Village Hall Committee and the PCC of Affpuddle. Awards were made as
follows;

PCC of Affpuddle - Purchase of materials and equipment to maintain the large
churchyard. Maintenance and repair of churchyard mowers and purchase of a
new mower to replace a worn-out machine. The award approved was for a sum
of £250.
Briantspuddle Village Hall Committee – To help fund improvements to the kitchen
in the Village Hall, including better cooking and washing up facilities. The award
approved was for a sum of £750.

Grant applications for the coming year are invited by 30 June 2018. A copy of
the Parish Council’s Grant Policy and an application form can be found on the
Council’s website.
The Council has a budget of £1,000 for awards to be made and has already
received enquiries from the following organisations;

 Citizens Advice Bureau
 Artreach Dorset
 Purbeck Film Festival 2018
 Dorset Youth Association

Annual Parish Meeting

The Annual Parish Meeting is not a Parish Council meeting and will be held this
year on Wednesday 9 May at Briantspuddle Village Hall from 7pm.

All residents are welcome to attend the meeting the purpose of which is to raise
and discuss parish affairs. The meeting is an opportunity for the Parish Council to
report on the activities it has been involved in throughout the year. In addition,
other community organisations have traditionally offered their own reports.
If you have any suggestions to contribute to the agenda please contact the
Parish Clerk or the Chairman of the Parish Council, Nick Gore, in writing by

The meeting is a good opportunity to hear what is going on across the whole
community and to offer comment or pose questions.
