Despite the warnings that we have received about bad weather coming our
way and some early morning frosts resulting from these forecasts, spring is with us.  Services
Trees are in leaf, including hawthorn, sycamore, several species of willow and of  Building maintenance
course the blackthorn which is different to these other species and insists on  General joinery
producing its flowers before its leaves. What a show it has produced with its white
blossoms this year. Also it looks as if some of the ash trees are about burst their  Garden maintenance
buds and produce leaves. The oaks on the other hand are not showing any sign  Garden landscaping
of coming into leaf. So I hope this does not activate the saying:-
           Kitchens
The oak before the ash, we will only get a splash.  Man and digger hire
The ash before the oak we will surely get a soak.

time of year. Certain flower species are very conspicuous this year compared
with past times, despite the warnings of our meteorologists, to expect cold
 conditions.
As I have previously mentioned, celandines are prolific this year and despite
normally being a fairly short lived and fairly delicate flower, this year they are very
abundant and long lived, creating a wonderful display. Primroses too are in
magnificent display and are flowering over a considerable period, as are wild
 white and blue violets.
Also worth mentioning again are the snow flakes, which are dependent on a
damp environment. They are in excellent and copious display, even spreading
