       The 3 per cent social care precept will raise an additional £6.6m this year and is
       ring fenced for the council to only use in adult social care. Around two thirds of
       the  County’s  total  budget  goes  towards  children’s  and  adult  social  care.
       Alongside  this  the  council  has  also  set  a  target  of  saving  of  around  £18.3M  in
       2018/19.


       Dorset Innovation Park

       There is an opportunity this March
       to  find  out  more  and  help  shape
       the  future  use  of  the  Dorset
       Innovation  Park  Enterprise  Zone  in
       Winfrith.  The  advising  consultants
       will  be  at  an  event  (Saturday  10
       March  -  Village  Hall,  Moreton,
       10am to 4pm) to update residents
       on   pr o po sa l s   f or    f u tu r e
       employment  development  at  the
       Innovation  Park.  There  will  be  a
       series  of  illustrations  on  display.
       These  will  also  be  available  on  the  website  at  www.dorsetforyou.gov.uk/ldo/
       purbeck together with an online survey enabling people to give their views on the
       proposals. The survey will run between 24 February and 8 April 2018.
       Dorset Innovation Park is Dorset’s second largest strategic employment site and is
       being  recognised  as  a  major  focus  for  the  economic  regeneration  of  South
       Dorset.
       Significant investment in the whole site by Purbeck District Council, Dorset County
       Council  and  Dorset  Local  Enterprise  Partnership  (LEP)  is  providing  a  new
       opportunity for businesses by offering attractive Enterprise Zone benefits such as
       business rate reduction, simplified planning and ultrafast broadband. The target
       sectors  for  the  Enterprise  Zone  include  advanced  engineering  and
       manufacturing, defence, marine, energy and cyber security.

       Surgery
       Surgeries  are  held  on  the  first  Saturday  of  every  month.  These  are  held  at  the
       communal Lounge in Turberville Court in Bere Regis from 09.30 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. If
