route took in some of the most
 scenic views of the Purbecks,
and the array of tractors was a
 truly spectacular sight to see.
We had a weekend of fun and
 entertainment with live music
 from local bands The Replicas
and The Mother Ukers, and from
 further afield a Status Quo
 tribute band called The
 Counterfeit Quo.
 The Valtra Mini-dragons team
came for the weekend and provided tractor sledging competitions, and the big
Valtra Dragon was on display. We had a static lorry display including a
particularly stunning American truck, there was a foam water slide going down
the field for the young at heart, food and drink wagons, and a live auction.

We set up a camping area with facilities for those who wanted to stay overnight
or for the whole weekend. Poole Hospital Charity lent their support to the event
with banners, flags and collection buckets, and presented some awards on the
day to some of the tractor drivers.
It was a truly spectacular event and everyone that joined in had a lot of fun, and
most importantly helped to raise a lot of awareness and money.

The Dorset Cancer Centre at Poole Hospital is the major specialist cancer

treatments including radiotherapy and chemotherapy for both common and
rare cancers. The staff at the centre work tirelessly to provide treatment and
support for individuals suffering or being affected by cancer.
Philip and his son Ben presented a
cheque for £17,115 to the Dorset
Cancer Centre at the end of October.
Philip said “Today is especially poignant
as it’s the one-year anniversary of
Jane’s passing and this is something
positive we can do on the day to
remember her. We would like to thank
the NHS and everyone on the
Sandbanks Ward at Poole Hospital and
hope that the money raised from the
event will go to supporting the ward in whatever way possible.”
Dr Mike Bayne, who treated Jane, said: “It was a privilege to treat Jane, and of
course a sadness that we could not achieve more for her. She was an amazing
