December 2018 December 2018

But You, O Lord, You have a perfect plan.

No room, no room. We are refused everywhere we go.
My heart is aching for my husband, I see the disappointment in his face.
I know he is doing his best’. And You, O Lord have a perfect plan.
Lord God, you sent an angel to tell me I should carry your Son, but where can I lay
       his head?
Have you planned a great room, a palace for his birth,
Will there be lambs’ wool for his bed, and servants to fetch and carry? Small load £80 Large load £175
Yes ...these are the things befitting a king.

Is this it? Is this the place?
I lay my tired body on the straw.
The beasts of burden watch over me ... their warm silver breath hangs in the chilly
       air.
       Joseph attends to my needs.
O Lord, surely this is not part of your plan?
Do you mean this to be the place where the King of kings is born,
Shall men say of him, “He was born in a stable ...?”
Pam Weaver When you respond to advertisers, do please tell them you saw

We all know that Christmas is about Jesus’ birth. But in all the fun and
celebration, or for some people in the loneliness and heartache, it’s so easy to advertising revenue!!
lose sight of why Jesus was born.
Jesus’ birth is all about God’s good news for us, and Christmas is for saying thank
you to God for giving His own son. It’s also time to remember that when Jesus was
thirty-three years old He gave His life for us, so that those who believe in Him might
       receive new life.

Whenever we see suffering in the world, or greed and selfishness causing
problems in the home and in the nation, we see the results of people ignoring
God. And all of us are part of this. No one is so good they don’t need Jesus – no
one is too bad to be turned away by Him. We all need forgiveness and the new
       life only God can give.
Today God wants you to have the power to live up to His standards.

This is the best Christmas invitation you are ever going to receive.
       Don’t turn it down.
