A LETTER FROM YOUR ASSOCIATE PRIEST
 The Dates for your Diary

       Dear Friends
section will return in due course, As I write in the middle of February the signs that Spring is on the way are all
around us. The recent cold spell certainly hasn’t deterred my daffodils in the
once all our clubs, societies and garden from looking ready to bloom at any moment. The sun is shining, and the
temperature is a much balmier 9°C! It doesn’t seem possible that it is now over a
year since we started to worry about the coronavirus. How our lives have

a walk along the beach. But more important than that, I can’t wait for the
opportunity to give my Mum and Dad a proper hug and hear the grandchildren
Hopefully, it will not be too long laugh and play with Zinnie again in the garden. There is a real longing for things
to change, but also caution that all the hard work of the past year doesn’t

change, either by giving things up that are not really necessary or taking on
normality. something new that will challenge us and hopefully improve us. Lent recalls the
time when Jesus went into the wilderness for 40 days. He had just been baptised
in the River Jordon by his cousin John the Baptist and, before he started his adult
ministry, he entered the desert ‘to be tested’ by Satan, which means the
