We then returned to the centre
       where we treated ourselves to
Purbeck Ice Cream and had delicious Home made
Pineapple upside down cake with cream and tea.

When you respond to advertisers, do please tell them you saw their Tony then took us to see the wildlife gardens and
down to see the river Hooke. This caused a
advert in this magazine - it helps them monitor the effectiveness of debate as to whether it was a garden or was nature
their advert and helps us generate more advertising revenue!! just been allowed to do its own thing. Gardening is
a question of taming nature. How much do we do?
You just leave it to do its own thing.
The Kingcombe Centre is well worth a visit. There is
self catering accommodation for hire along with
advertised courses, and walks. Well worth a visit to
the tea rooms there. Check out website for details
and go down to explore this wonderful place. It is
also an idea of what Wild Woodbury might be like
after 20 years. There are wildlife reserves in Africa
but this one is on your doorstep.
Future summer outings this year avoid gardens. On July 4 we are visiting the Oak
                                                         th
vineyard at Lytchett Matravers. This will cover the English Winemaking process and
including drinking wine. The evening will cost is £20.00 to cover the wine. This is
       an evening visit

Another evening visit is on 1 august to Down Farm Cranborne Chase. Martin
                                 st
Green the owner gave up farming to take up archeology. The farm has wildlife
ponds and areas. He has excavated burial mounds and a section of the Dorset
Cursus. This will be a unique opportunity to look into a burial mound and walk on
Dorset Cursus. One can consider just how insignificant we are as all this was built
3000 years ago. Afterwards we can visit the pigsty museum full of archeological
artifacts from all of Martin’s work from other parts of Dorset.
