The Parish Council met on Thursday 11 January 2018 at the Drax Hall. The next

meeting will be on Thursday 8 February at the Drax Hall, starting at 7pm. All
th
parishioners are very welcome to attend and to take the opportunity to raise any
matters or concerns at the start of the meeting.

New Parish Councillor & Another Vacancy

The Council was delighted to co-opt Cathryne Packham to fill one of our
vacancies for a Parish Councillor and look forward to her input at upcoming
meetings. We also accepted the resignation of Councillor Andy Watkins and
would like to thank Andy for all of his hard work over the last couple of years,
particularly for his roles as police and traffic liaison. This does mean there is a
vacancy for one Parish Councillor. The sort of matters we get involved with are:
 New facilities for residents, and particularly for young people
 Social provision for older or disabled people
 Financial grants to parish organisations

 Care of the environment in which we live
 Planning and development matters
