lady who was incredibly resilient throughout her illness. Memories of her bravery
and images of her on the farm and at farming contests will stay with us. These
funds raised in her memory will help us maintain and improve the quality of care
for others in her position. Part of the funds will support the running of the Lung
Club, a support group set up and run by our fantastic specialist nurses. This
support group helps patients and families though their lung cancer journey, which
is about far more than just the surgery, radiotherapy and drug treatment that the
patients receive. We are incredibly grateful to Philip, Ben and supporters for all
their efforts and this amazing donation.”
Philip said “Jane would have been overwhelmed by the whole event and the
amount raised to help this wonderful ward and its staff who were directly involved
in caring for her. Ben and I would like to thank everyone who was involved in
making this event happen; the companies and individuals who gave sponsorship
and donations, those who donated items for the auction, the team of volunteers
who organised the event, the helpers over the weekend, the people who bought
tickets, to all that entered their tractors, the land owners who allowed us to travel
over their fields, the spectators who took the time to stop, wave and cheer at the
tractor run procession, and many more.
The event was kindly photographed and filmed by a local amateur drone
enthusiast Stuart Green and you can see all the photos and video footage on his
Facebook page called Dorset Drone Guy, or on our Philip Trim Contractors
Facebook page. We will run this event again! Thank you again for your support.
