Bere Regis Six-a-Side Football Team in 1936-7.


Probably taken early in 1937, the team display four cups (front row) presumably won during that season.

This picture was taken at the recreation field with Woodbury Hill in the background.

The football has the years written on it.

Back row, left to right are;  Ernie Hewitt (Manager), Perce Minterne, "Squeaker" Sims, John Hyde, Ted “Dreamy” Bartlett (trainer), front row are; Ryan Richetts, Cyril Toop, Fred Hunt.

Bere Regis Cricket Team in about 1908.

Photo taken at the recreation ground and looking toward Woodbury Hill, the Cricket Eleven are joined at front centre by the appropriately-named Reverend Motague Bere, and on his left Mrs Bere checking the scores. Those present are (back row) Cecil Minterne, Harold Day?, Reg Minterne, Jack Miller, Harry Drake, Mr Dwight, unknown, unknown but umpire, and (front row) Bob? Jesty, Mr Maiden, Rev M. Bere, Mrs Bere, Herbie Barnes. It is not known how far up the order the vicar played!
