Stones at Dorchester end of the Village

Village Signs

The carved stone saying Bere Regis at the Dorchester end of the Village was unveiled on 29th September 2012 by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Dorset, Giles Sturdy.
Chairman of the Parish Council, Ian Ventham, wrote a letter informing the Queen that we had unveiled them.

A further Stone is on the approach to the Cross & a final one will be positioned on Rye Hill shortly.
The Stones were made possible by kind donations from Villagers.
Anyone who donated £100 or more had their names inscribed on the back of the Stone of their choice.
