Hall kitchen, which is inspected by the Food Hygiene inspectors, and we are
proud to say we have got a 5 Star rating. All the volunteers who work in the
kitchen area have done the online Level 1 Food Hygiene training in Food Safety
Awareness and two of us have done the Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2 Course
for Catering, which covers more about preparation and food storage. One of us
must always be in the kitchen when food is being prepared or cooked. We are
also fully insured.
Angie: We serve the lunch in the main hall so there is enough room and now it
runs like clockwork. We don’t try and make a profit with any of the Community
Group activities but if we have a surplus, we will put it towards something for the
Village Hall. For example, the Village Hall Committee recently bought a new
dishwasher for the kitchen. It is a proper commercial dishwasher, that washes in 3
or 4 minutes and the Community Group contributed towards the cost.
Our Saturday morning Coffee Shop is open to everyone. Do come along.
Briantspuddle is a small village but very sociable. If we see someone sitting by
themselves at the Coffee Shop, someone will soon sit down and start to talk to
them and have a good chat!
