Wild Woodbury has
undergone phenomenal
changes by restoring
natural processes. One
such change is the
introduction of Exmoor
Ponies and original breed
Hereford cattle on site
who help us with our
extensive grazing.
Extensive grazing is a
method of grazing a large area, allowing the herbivores to roam freely across
large areas (i.e. not confined into smaller areas of pasture). But why have we
introduced these herbivores?
Aurochs and tarpan were species of herbivores similar to modern day cattle and
