       BERE REGIS FOLK NIGHTS

After an absence of over a year we are planning our first Folk Night of 2021. Our
last evening was in February 2020. In the summer we had to cancel a concert by
Aaron Jonah Lewis who is an American fiddle and banjo due to travel restrictions.

We are aiming, subject to covid restrictions, to start again on Tuesday 29 June
       between 8pm and 10pm doors open 7:30pm.

The typical Folk Night consist of local musicians playing and entertaining us for a
couple of hours on the last Tuesday of the month. Our artists represent many
different styles of music and we use the word 'folk' loosely. Our menu on the June
       night consists of:
 Show of Fingers are a band made up of Paul J Openshaw (regular poet for
the parish magazine and fine musician), Mike (Fingers) McDaid
(accordion), Nina Garcia and Ben Wain both playing the fiddle
 Martin Ansell singer song writer
 David McKenzie multi instrumentalist and piper

 The Bere Essentials who are the house band and feature several local
             residents
The venue is The Stable Bar (skittle alley), Drax Arms in the village. During the
performances we request the audience respect the artists by remaining seated
and not talking through their sets. Of course you can sing along, clap and have a
       jolly good time.

There is no entrance fee but we do hold a raffle at half time during the
interval. Proceeds of which are used to cover any expenses we may incur. On
occasions we do charge an entrance fee as we book internationally recognised
artists from around the UK and USA. Please look at our new website
www.bereregisfolk.com to see some of the people who have entertained us in
       the past.
