OBITUARIES/EULOGIES
her almost every day, and after Joe died she devoted her time to her
children and then her grandchildren. Janet was a very caring person,
nursing her own Mother through Alzheimers and then looked after her brother
Dennis who came to recuperate for two weeks after a short stay in hospital and
was still there 8 years later until he passed away - he was lovingly nicknamed the
Cuckoo.
Janet liked to play bingo and followed several sports – golf, snooker and a keen
Manchester United fan. Her favourite pastime was spending time with family
and she enjoyed a wide array of family parties and get togethers. She
particularly enjoyed spending time with her ten grandchildren and was very
close to them – always available for babysitting, never missing a birthday or
party or celebration and always on hand to help out.
Even as her physical health started to deteriorate in
later years, her mind remained sharp and she always
kept up to date with news on family and old friends in
the village. She loved her home in Bere Regis and
despite challenging mobility issues, she always
remained positive and optimistic, looking out for her
family and ready to join in at family get togethers.
Janet, Mum, Granny, you were incredibly loved and
will be greatly missed.
