Review of the Year
th
On Wednesday 12 June we invited parents, friends and members of the local
community to a review of the year of Bere Regis Scout Group. We announced
the winners of the 4 John White Awards, one for each section - Charlie Haskell
(Beavers), Cerys Benjafield (Cubs), Eleanor Teather (Scouts), Elliot Woodhouse
(Explorers) and certificates to the 2 runners up in each section. The Appin
Scout Group Achievement Award was presented to Charlie Pitcher (Explorer),
along with the presentation of Duke of Edinburgh Awards by our District
Commissioner, Darryl Wright, to Sammy Lightfoot (Silver) and Gold to Daniel
Miller and Cameron Fletcher. Not to be left out the DC also awarded Mark
Willis with his Wood Badge, Andrea Marshall with a 5 year service award and a
Chief Scout’s Commendation for Good Service Award to Helen Unitt-Jones.
The presentation of awards and a look at some photographs taken during the
year was followed by a very brief AGM and the appointment of the officers
who sit on the Executive Committee. The years audited accounts were 839209
accepted and the meeting closed with thanks to the team who all work so
