Taking Stock

It’s a funny time of year isn’t? As I write this on a mild, thankfully sunny, January
morning our thoughts naturally still turn to Christmas and time spent celebrating

the birth of Jesus, time perhaps enjoyed with family and friends. Hopefully we
might get some cold weather at last rather than the excessive wet stuff we’ve
December had recently, I know the children hope for snow at this time of year, but it seems
they’ll have to wait a while longer. Some of us are regretting all the extra pounds

But while Christmas was only a few weeks ago, life in the church moves on! Only

this week we are thinking about the Baptism of Christ. The baby had suddenly
become a man, thirty years old. And then it won’t be long before thoughts start

already signs in the supermarket! Life moves on at a pace and sometimes we miss
