Explorer Scouts in 2015. In (at any age) and those who help along the way.
       this way, the youngsters

Also, the annual Parish Remembrance Service now includes brief summaries of
the lives of the men, read by young members of the Group,
In recognition of the work of the young people in furthering understanding of
the sacrifices made by men from this Parish, the local Wessex Branch of the
Western Front Association recently made an award of £250. This is to be used to
publish the results of the research which now includes, not only the 32 men who
died, but a further 200 or so who went to war from the Parish and returned,
many badly wounded. We hope to publish the research during the 2018
Centenary year of the end of the war. Small load £80 Large load £175

Our final activity evening of last year was the Christmas party – always a very
popular night helped along by Phil’s infamous ‘hat game’! During the evening,
Rosemary, our District Commissioner, presented five Young Leader Belt Buckles
to some of our young people. Well done to Aidan, William, Jordi, Amelia and
Tom who gained these training awards and to Tamsin who received her Bronze
       Duke of Edinburgh’s award.
