CERTIFICATES OF APPRECIATION

Last month, in the
M a g a z i ne a n d o n
Facebook we published
the names of thirty
individuals, partners,
businesses and groups who
had been nominated by
Bere Regis residents to
receive a Certificate of
Appreciation to mark the
huge contribution they
have made to our community during these difficult times by stepping up to help
neighbours, or altering how their businesses were run or by spotting where help
was needed, and providing it.
Since then, more nominations have been received and I would like to add their
names to our Roll of Honour.

We cannot, for now, present the actual Certificates, so we are publishing the
names first in the hope that in the not too distant future we may be able to hold
an awards ceremony and honour all these people in an appropriate way.

Bridget Eveleigh and the Greengrocery team for supply boxes of fruit and
vegetables to people’s homes throughout lockdown
Kim Benjafield for her dedication to her many telephone contacts throughout the
whole pandemic period
Suzie Gee for shopping for numbers of shielding residents and doing regular
prescription deliveries, as well as working hard to safely re-open the Chapel
Mothers and Toddlers group
Carol Cox for making and donating facemasks
Rose Butterfield for keeping the village supplied with delicious ice cream through
the Summer

Please feel free to nominate anyone else whose efforts you feel have helped to
make life easier, or more bearable for residents during these difficult times.
