decision on the Dorset unitary proposal, I would decide whether to implement,
subject to Parliamentary approval, Dorset councils’ proposal for a combined
authority. As a first step I will be seeking your and your colleagues’ thoughts on
what role, if any, there might be for a combined authority in a future when there
are two unitary councils across the whole area.

I am writing in similar terms to the other Dorset council leaders, the Dorset MPs,
the Lord Lieutenant, and the Chair of the Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership.

UK CYCLING EVENTS
Yet another event which will wind its way through much of Purbeck. Below are the
details as supplied to me. As a non-competitive event we have no control over it
and we have little choice but to accommodate it
Event Plan – Wiggle Jurassic Beast Sportive. UK Cycling Events organise amateur
non-competitive cycling events in the UK. These events support amateur cyclists
by selecting low traffic, interesting and scenic routes which can be cycled at
various lengths to suit all abilities.
UK Cycling Events provides a support infrastructure for these events including: •
Organisation • Food and Water stations • Breakdown assistance • Route marking
and monitoring • General First Aid at food and drink stations as well as support
vehicles. The aim of the event is to provide an environment for cyclists of all ages
to have a safe and enjoyable cycle.
