17th Salt and Pepper Club LETTER FROM OUR ASSOCIATE PRIEST

23rd Winchester What a difference a week makes! Last Saturday we were bathed in sunshine and
today I’m hiding from the rain writing this letter. Just as well, as last week our
youngest daughter, Lucy, married Sam. That’s all three done now! It was a
December wonderful celebration - the weather was perfect, especially for October, and
brought together family and friends from across the country.
1st David Senior - Dorset Air Ambulance It’s always a relief when something that had been almost two years in the
planning goes smoothly. The dress, which had been hanging in a cupboard in
14th Salisbury Christmas Shopping the vicarage for quite a few months, was transported safely to Shaftesbury and
Lucy looked stunning. The hired suits for groom, father of the bride and

SP 15th Salt and Pepper Club groomsmen arrived in time and were the right fit – thank goodness. The Jaguar,
which Lucy had declared was to be the bridal car as soon as she saw it, had
been polished (this took a whole day!) did its job perfectly and actually started
15/16/17 Christmas Shows - Thu-6pm, Fri-7pm, Sat-2pm with no problems. One minor hitch, sister-in-law Maria was meant to be singing
th during the signing of the Marriage Document, lost her voice, but song
downloaded onto a phone saved anyone else trying to sing a solo! With help
21st Christmas Lights with Fish and Chip supper - leave at Lucy’s grandparents managed to get to the church for the service, and yours
5.30pm truly managed to conduct the ceremony with out crying. So, all in all a fabulous
       day to remember.
23rd Christmas Fun Morning. All welcome 10-12
