some cases the organisations, who have been nominated to receive a Certificate
of Appreciation for what they did, and in many cases continue to do, to help
alleviate some of the problems caused by the pandemic.
We cannot, for now, present the actual Certificates, so we are publishing the
names first, in no particular order, in the hope that in the not too distant future we
may be able to hold an awards ceremony and honour all these people in an
appropriate way.
Ned Massey – for entertaining us with his comics on Facebook
Andy Hawkins –for keeping Key Workers vehicles going
Mike Moorse and the Spar Shop team– for keeping the village supplied with
food
Dr Jackson and the Surgery team – for keeping us in good health
The Wareham Health Visitors team – for keeping the home visits going
Amanda and Kevin Crocker at Rye Hill Farm shop – for keeping the village
supplied with fresh fruit and veg
Janette and the Royal Oak and Post Office – for supplying takeaways and
keeping the Post Office functioning
Rachael Brown and the team at the School – for providing continuing
childcare for the children of key workers in school, and education for all our
children through distance learning
James Hawkins – for taking on many additional Parish Magazine delivery
rounds
Jo Bruce and family -- for help with the food bank
Jo Syrett and Claire Syrett -- for help with the food bank
Alison and Paul Bennett – for organising and running the food bank
Jade Hart – for art work to lift the spirits and for decorating the front of the
village hall
Simon Walker – for providing food takeaways for others from the Royal Oak
Laurraine Veal of Zero Waste – for providing a much-needed service
throughout the period
Sue Stone – for delivering prescriptions
Mike Gee – for delivering prescriptions
Alix Paterson – for delivering prescriptions
