Sally was a very loveable character, even in later life she joined in things, I

met her in church and at services at Turberville Court. She really enjoyed
meeting the local Primary school children recently at the Drax Hall to talk
about the history of village life and show some of her and her mother’s
smocking. And I’m sure you all have many special memories of Sally,
memories that will hopefully make you laugh and be grateful that knew her,

that people lined the streets in
                                                  the village that was so
important to her to say their
                                                  goodbyes. And it’s because
of that love that we feel a
sense of grief at her death. But
                                                  that is a perfectly proper
                                                  emotion to feel - a God-given
way of expressing the depth of
                                                  your feelings for Sally. But

through that grief there is hope, because in our bible
reading Jesus knew that his end was near and he
tried to comfort his grieving friends, he wanted them
to know that life with him would carry on into the
         world to come.
