ringing chamber for four ringers to socially distance. Things have got a bit busier
at The Vicarage as the family has taken turns to visit. I do enjoy the early morning DATES FOR
walks with grandson Zach when we take Zinnie out, we always have some very
interesting conversations. Both Zach and Ruby joined Zinnie for a paddle in the YOUR DIARY
stream later on in the evening and we spent an enjoyable morning and early
afternoon at the beach before it got too crowded. I’m pleased to say that I have
had quite a few sea swims this summer. The Vicarage pond has had a clean up 2020
thanks to younger daughter Lucy and her partner Sam – you can now see the
bottom! I’m pleased to report that Zinnie hasn’t managed to scare off the frogs or Key: FG-Floral Group, AL-Autumn Leaves, TA– Twinning, WI-Women’s

I hope you are able to take advantage of the reduction in restrictions as
lockdown eases further, some things seem very scary though and make us wonder
what a new normal will be. There are things we will have learnt from last six
months or so that we will be able to use in the future. This reminds me of how
everything we’ve done in the past helps form our future. Sir Winston Churchill said,
‘If we open a quarrel between past and present, we shall find we have lost the
future.’ We can’t look back and think how perfect everything was in the past,
let’s go back there, and equally we can’t say, nothing is any good unless it’s up to
date and with it. It’s much better to say that we can learn from our past, and
from much that’s good in our present life, all these lessons will help us plan for the
future. With God’s help, I pray that our future will start to look a little brighter and
 safer for all. September
