YOUR DIARY Re-building the team
I’m pleased to report that the Revd David Chillman has been appointed as our
2021 House for Duty Priest in the Lulworth parishes. David should join the team
sometime in January and will be living in The Rectory in West Lulworth.
Floral Group Autumn Leaves Twinning Interviews will also be held this month for the Incumbent post, the successful
Women’s Institute Pop in Place Gardening Club candidate will have oversight of the benefice, be full time and live in The
Vicarage in Wool.
November Thank you
A very big thank you to all those who decorated the churches in Bere Regis and
FG 9th ‘Winter Draws (or Drawers) On’, Alison Finch 2.00 pm Affpuddle for Harvest. As I write they continue to look splendid. Thank you also to
Sarah Welton for leading the service at Bere Regis and to Liz Whatley who nobly
10th Communibus - Ottery Garden Centre stepped in at Affpuddle, when fellow Churchwarden, Mike Menzies was called
away on business.
17th Garlands
Any food donated, along with Bere Regis Primary School donations, from their
18th Salt and Pepper Club service, has been taken to the Food Bank in Wareham.
24th Communibus - Street Shopping Village Food Bank Donations
December During the pandemic donations of food had been going to the Food Bank at Pop
in Place in Bere Regis, but for the time being both churches will donate food
collected to Wareham Food Bank, unless needed again more locally. Boxes are

This has certainly been a sad couple of years for everyone, especially as we
15th Xmas Festivities haven’t been able to mourn loved ones in the way we would normally like. This
service is chance to set aside some time to remember, reflect and give thanks for
those we love who have passed away not just in the last two years, but at any
16th Salt and Pepper Club time. It will also be a chance to reflect on this time of pandemic and pray for all
those who have lost their lives because of it and all those who have given service
21st Communibus - Xmas Lights & Fish and Chip supper in anyway during it. Much has been lost during this time – not just people, but
jobs, schooling, freedoms, routines and, sadly, perhaps even hope. Please take
this as an open invitation to any who would like to attend.
