                                                                                                                         It  has  been  a  late  spring  this  year  and
                                                                                                                         temperatures  have  been  down  on  average.    I
                                                                                                                         made the terrible mistake of not getting down to
                                                                                                                         cutting  my  grass  early  enough  and  have  been
                                                                                           struggling with a jungle but am getting there.  There is now just so much to do now
                                                                                           the  weather  is  better  and  you  feel  like  being  outside.    Maybe  I  am  just  getting
                                                                                           older and the garden is steeper and it just seems harder.  Hopefully by the time
                                                                                           you  read  this,  temperatures  will  be  warmer  and  we  will  have  all  tackled  the
                                                                                           undone work.  (Gardening is never done)
                                                                                           In May we were treated to a talk by Brian Hesketh.  He gave us a very enthusiastic
                                                                                           talk  about  the  benefits  of  Organic  Gardening.    Organic  is  better  for  you,  it  is
                                                                                           natural, nothing extra, and a great depression beater.  Organic is better for wildlife
                                                                                           nothing  nasty  and  we  need  wildlife,  it  all  has  a  place.    Organic  tastes  better.
                                                                                           What  better  vegetables  can  you  have  than  those  which  have  been  grown
                                                                                           naturally and picked minutes before you eat them.
