 SERVICE PATTERN DATES FOR

                YOUR DIARY
If you look at the service rota you may notice that there are some slight time
changes. We have reverted to 9:15am and 11am as the main service times so
that on most Sundays Rev Sandra can be in both Affpuddle and Bere Regis 2020
 churches
Key: FG-Floral Group, AL-Autumn Leaves, TA– Twinning, WI-Women’s
Here are some explanations about the different communion services.
Communion and Eucharist mean the service includes the opportunity to receive Institute, PiP-Pop in Place, GC-Gardening Club
bread and wine, the body and blood of Jesus Christ.
             January
Holy Communion – most likely to be at 8am
        16th Salt and Pepper Club
This is the most traditional form of service, using The Book of Common Prayer
(BCP), sometimes known as 1662. This communion service is loved for the beauty 21st Communibus Trip - Palmers Nursery, Yeovil via Compton
of its language and is usually quite quiet and reflective. It lasts about half an hour Valance
and does not usually have hymns.

 Parish Communion
             February
This service does have hymns and other musical settings and the wording can be
traditional (thee, thou, thy, thine) or contemporary (you, your). It usually lasts 11th Communibus Mystery Tour
about an hour and is followed by refreshments.
        20th Salt and Pepper Club

 Family Communion
        25th Communibus - Ringwood
This is usually a shorter version of the Parish Communion, it may not have so many
readings and the hymns or songs may be more modern, it is family friendly and March
lasts about 45 minutes with refreshments afterwards, it may include a Baptism.
        12th Communibus - Sherborne

 Benefice Eucharist
        19th Salt and Pepper Club
Benefice in the title usually means there is only one service that day at one
chosen parish church – this is usually on a fifth Sunday. It will have all the usual 24th Communibus - The Donkey Sanctuary, Sidmouth
elements of Parish Communion, using contemporary language and will be about
an hour, with refreshments afterwards. April

3rd PiP - Easter Bonnet Workshop at Pop in 10.00-12.00
Coming together to worship God can be so special and we are lucky in this
benefice to be able to do that in different ways through the variety of services,
times, and locations. There will be more on the services that don’t include 7th Communibus - Forde Abbey and Gardens
communion next time, but in the meantime take your pick and find something
that suits you, or maybe try something new. 10th PiP - Easter Bonnet Parade, Easter Egg Raffle, Upper Hall 10.00-12.00
