Regis Parish Council Working Group Newsletter 1 - November 2011
working group representing many of the village organisations met
at the end of October 2011 to start planning events to celebrate
the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee next year.
Parish Council is coordinating the activities and taking responsibility
for risk assessments and public liability insurance which will
only cover events known to and supervised by the Working Group.
A means of notifying us about events and activities will be publicised
in due course
Parish Council will put up some seed corn money; however the Working
Group wondered whether each of the various village organisations
would consider holding a particular event between now and May
next year to raise money towards the main events. The more that
is raised, the more ambitious we can be in our celebrations.
groups of people and organisations will organise the various elements
of the celebrations.

be similar to the Shitterton sign, will cost about £2500.
Early next year we will be offering everyone the opportunity to
contribute towards the cost. Ever contributor will be recorded
in a commemorative book that we hope to be able to keep in the
Parish Church. Those who give more than £100 will have the
opportunity to have their names inscribed on one of the new signs.
